Autodesk® Revit® Structure 2010 - Level I

Description: Utilizing the latest release of Autodesk® Revit® Structure 2010, users are introduced to the concepts of Building Information Modeling and the tools for parametric design, analysis, and documentation. They learn the fundamental features of Autodesk® Revit® Structure, learn to use the 3D parametric design tools for creating and analyzing a project, and finish with construction documentation and design visualization. This class consists of 24 hours of instructor led hands-on training utilizing AOTC (Autodesk® Official Training Courseware) manuals (included).

Prerequisites: A working knowledge of Microsoft® Windows® Vista, Microsoft® Windows® XP, or Microsoft®  Windows® 2000. Structural engineering, drafting, or architectural design experience is highly recommended. No previous CAD experience is necessary.

What you will learn: The basics of Building Information Modeling (BIM), Autodesk® Revit® Structure basics, viewing the structure model, creating and managing projects, creating structural columns, creating frames, creating floors and roofs, creating foundations, creating stairs and ramps, creating plan annotations and schedules, creating detailing, and creating construction documentation.

Autodesk® Revit® MEP 2010 - Level I

Description: Utilizing the latest release of Autodesk® Revit® MEP 2010, you will learn about building information modeling and the tools for parametric MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing)  systems design and documentation using Autodesk® Revit® MEP 2010. Begin the three-day class by learning the fundamental features of Autodesk® Revit® MEP, then progressing through schematic design, system analysis and construction documentation, and finishing with design visualization. This class consists of 24 hours of instructor led hands-on training utilizing AOTC (Autodesk® Official Training Courseware) manuals (included).

Prerequisites: A working knowledge of Microsoft® Windows® Vista, Microsoft® Windows® XP, or Microsoft®  Windows® 2000. MEP engineering design, drafting, or engineering experience is highly recommended. No previous CAD experience is necessary.

What you will learn: The basics of Building Information Modeling (BIM), Autodesk® Revit® MEP basics, viewing the MEP model, creating and managing projects, defining volumes, building performance analysis, HVAC systems, piping systems, plumbing systems, fire protection systems, electrical systems, working with architects and engineers, detailing and drafting, annotations and schedules, and construction documentation.

AutoCAD® Civil 3D 2010 - Level I

Description: Using the latest release of AutoCAD® Civil 3D, this course is intended to give users comprehensive experience with the features and benefits of AutoCAD® Civil 3D. This class consists of 24 hours of instructor led hands-on training utilizing AOTC (Autodesk® Official Training Courseware) manuals (included).

Prerequisites: A working knowledge of Microsoft® Windows® Vista, Microsoft® Windows® XP, or Microsoft®  Windows® 2000 as well as experience navigating the Internet. No previous CAD experience is necessary.

What you will learn: The AutoCAD® Civil 3D environment, working with survey, working with points, working with surfaces, site design - parcels, site design - alignments, site design - profiles, site design - assemblies and corridors, site design - grading and quantities, site design - pipes, transportation - alignments, transportation - assemblies, transportation - sections and quantities, and managing data,

Autodesk® Inventor® 2010: Tooling

Description: Learn the fundamental principles of mold design for plastic parts, how to create a mold cavity and core, design the injection feeding systems as well as other required components for a mold, and how to analyze and document that design using Autodesk® Inventor® software. This class consists of 2 days (16 hours) of instructor-led training utilizing AOTC (Autodesk® Official Training Courseware) manuals (included).

Prerequisites: A working knowledge of Microsoft® Windows® Vista, Microsoft® Windows® XP, or Microsoft®  Windows® 2000. Students should also have completed Quantum Training Centers' Autodesk® Inventor® Part 1 or have a working knowledge of  parametric part and assembly design using Autodesk® Inventor® as well as parametric solid modeling concepts and design or mechanical engineering principles.

What you will learn: Beginning creating plastic injection molds, designing mold cores and cavities, mold layout and assembly design, verifying and communicating the mold design, basic view creation, creating dimensions, annotations and tables, annotating assembly drawings, and using drawing standards and resources.

Key Benefits: This course will give students a thorough understanding of the principal requirements and components of a plastic part mold, and how to design, validate, and document an injection mold design using Autodesk® Inventor® 2010.

Autodesk® Inventor® 2010: Cable and Harness Design

Description: Utilizing the latest release of Autodesk® Inventor®, this class will teach students the fundamental principles and recommended workflows for creating and documenting 3D electrical parts and wire harness designs. This class consists of 2 days (16 hours) of instructor-led training utilizing AOTC (Autodesk® Official Training Courseware) manuals (included).

Prerequisites: A working knowledge of Microsoft® Windows® Vista, Microsoft® Windows® XP, or Microsoft®  Windows® 2000. Students should also have completed Quantum Training Centers' Autodesk® Inventor® Part 1 or have a working knowledge of  parametric part and assembly design using Autodesk® Inventor.

What you will learn: Creating cable and harness designs, wiring a harness assembly, refining a cable and harness assembly, communicating the design, configuring libraries and report configuration files, and creating, authoring and publishing electrical content.

Key Benefits: At the end of this course, students will have learned the recommended workflows and basic skills needed to design and document 3D electrical parts and wire harness designs using Autodesk Inventor® 2010.

Autodesk® Inventor® 2010: Tube and Pipe Design


Description: Utilizing the latest release of Autodesk® Inventor®, this class will teach students the fundamental principles and recommended workflows for creating and documenting rigid tubing, flexible hose, and piping systems. This class consists of 2 days (16 hours) of instructor-led training utilizing AOTC (Autodesk® Official Training Courseware) manuals (included).

Prerequisites: A working knowledge of Microsoft® Windows® Vista, Microsoft® Windows® XP, or Microsoft®  Windows® 2000. Students should also have completed Quantum Training Centers' Autodesk® Inventor® Part 1 or have a working knowledge of  parametric part and assembly design using Autodesk® Inventor. Also, knowledge of mechanical design validation or mechanical engineering principles is recommended, but not necessary.

What you will learn: Introduction to tube and pipe design, setup for routes and runs, creating routes and runs, flexible hose routes, fittings and components, creating and managing library content, creating tube and pipe styles, and documenting tube and pipe assemblies.

Key Benefits: At the end of this course, students will have learned the recommended workflows and basic skills needed to design and document rigid tubing, flexible hose, and piping systems using Autodesk Inventor® 2010.
